Vintage Birthday Card

This card was actually done by my mom. It will be her contribution to the card sets. I think it turned out great.

imageSketch_1She used some more of that vintage paper. It was inspired by a pin on Pintrest.

I did a computer sketch of it with the dimensions that she used for hers. The background is the swiss dots embossing folder. She used some vellum for the larger square. I think it gives it just enough contrast. The flower in the middle is from a Close to My Heart stamp set. There is a little glossy accents in the center of the flower. In the first version she did we added a DIY enamel dot. The sentiment is again that same happy birthday. If you cant tell I dont have another stamp with happy birthday on it. I do but they are all much too small for something like this. In the sketch a added the brad detail. She ran out of room with the card base being a 1/4″ smaller then the standard A2 size card. And the length of the sentiment. There is so much that you can do with this sketch.

imageShe also did a version with a light green background. They are both great.
